About
The Partner to Profit team enables companies around the world to improve the business performance of their alliance-partnerships. Our combination of rich application function, deep alliance management competencies and a robust collaboration platform gives us confidence that we can pursue that objective successfully.
Meet Our Team
Keith Gaylord
Founder & CEO
During my 30 years as an Alliance Executive at IBM, I observed first hand what made some alliances succeed and others fail. I concluded that potential or current partners require sophisticated tools to quantify alliance best practices. The right analytical tools can be used to gain control, anticipate risks and reveal new growth opportunities in a flexible, but all-inclusive way.
This need led to the development of Partner to Profit, a purpose-built, cloud-based digital platform to model, plan, analyze and manage alliances.
In 1993 Keith co-authored for IBM the original ALLIANCE MANAGEMENT WORKBOOK. In 2020 he published a companion piece to Partner to Profit, ALLIANCES, STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS AND THE POWER OF ANALYTICS: GAIN CONTROL, REDUCE RISK, ACCELERATE GROWTH.
Keith is an architect of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals certification program and past chair of ASAP’s Professional Development Committee.
Keith holds degrees from the University of Vermont and the University of South Carolina. He holds certificates from The Wharton School and Harvard Law School.
Karlon Auger
Principal Engineer
Karlon is the developer who created the Partner to Profit application, designing and developing the PHP-based SAAS application to model financial outcomes of business partnerships.
Karlon has demonstrated experience in every aspect of the application development lifecycle - from concept to delivery of next-generation applications and customizable solutions.
As one of Keith's earliest partners in conceptualizing the Partner to Profit application, he's repeatedly exhibited his excellent problem solving skills - collaborating with visionaries, professional architects and communities to design elegant solutions to complex business problems.
Mike Crane
Social Media & Marketing
Director
Mike served as Director of Wisconsin Public Radio until 2021. His media career includes leadership roles with Vermont Public Radio and public radio and television stations in Florida and upstate New York. He started his professional career on-air at WSKG in Binghamton in 1982, and was a founding member of the board of Public Radio Program Directors, Inc.
Mike served for six years as a member of the governing board of National Public Radio, including several as chair of the Development (fundraising) Committee, where he actively promoted tighter collaboration between NPR and its Member Stations.
As Director of New Media at Vermont Public Radio Mike pioneered its e-newsletter when that was a new thing everywhere, and he significantly grew VPR's web and social practice.
Carl Eckstein
Venture Advisor
Carl Eckstein is a former venture capitalist, and served as a founder and Managing Director of NextGen Capital Fund I and NextGen II venture capital funds; participated in 22 investments, mergers and acquisitions, and replaced the CEOs of three struggling portfolio companies, steering them to successful exits.
Initially for IBM and later as a Manager at Price Waterhouse, a principal with Arthur Young and through his own firm, Mr. Eckstein provided professional consulting and technology services to over 250 corporations, federal government and not-for-profit organizations.
Among his technology accomplishments, Mr. Eckstein designed the first fully integrated ERP systems for manufacturing for AO Smith, the first Wiki for the Federal Communications Commission, and helped develop the first GIS system for transportation routing. He has lectured at several universities on the investment in early-stage companies. Mr. Eckstein holds a degree in Microbiology from Ohio State University.
